I'm a freelance photographer currently based in Vilnius, Lithuania. I work on editorial and long-term projects using a multidisciplinary approach that involves photography, archive and text. My praxis revolves around identifying collective symbols and biases behind singular narratives of exclusion. I’m interested in how photography can open the space for questioning our motives and desires – bringing out the paradoxes that clash with our beliefs and values, revealing how much they are influenced by the cultural and political context in which the observation takes place. Since 2018 I am collaborating with photographer Miriam Stanke as a collective. Our projects address topics such as the aftermath of war, national identity and environmental issues.
I've been published among others on M le magazine du Monde, The British Journal of Photography, IO-Donna - Corriere della sera, DUMMY magazine, GUP magazine, C41 magazine and Der Greif magazine. My works has been exposed in photo festivals and galleries including: Hamburg Triennale, Voies OFF - Arles, Festival della Fotografia Etica, Festival della Fotografia Europea, Fotoleggendo, Fotofestiwal Lodtz and Les Boutographie. Please feel free to contact me if you're interested in commissions or collaboration.
